Visit 4

Image
I visited my field study location on Sunday, Oct 29. I arrived at 4:30, and left at 4:40. It was about 46 degrees out at the time, with slight wind, overcast skies, and on and off rain. It was a 10 hour and 22 minute day. Their weren't noticeably more orange leaves, but all the leaves had at least changed to a lighter green since my last visit. The long grass that was previously dying is now almost all dead, flattened, and gray. I did not see any organisms this time either, but I did see a footprint of what appears to be a dog.

Visit 3

It was Sunday, October 15. I arrived at 4:00, and left at 4:14. Around 54 degrees outside, very cloudy, and the ground and trees were wet from on and off raining all day. It was an 11 hour and 4 minute day today. The leaves have definitely started changing, about 3/8 leaves are of changed color. The plants are mostly dead or dying up in the bowl right now. I saw no organisms today, but I did hear a bird of some sort coming from the direction of the lake, directly west. What sort of bird this was, I have no guess. It sounded like it was around 50 feet in the air, and 120 feet away.
